In
1938, a small group of insurance women in Denver formed an organization
for insurance education purposes.
Two
of the toughest challenges facing those women in those first years
were soliciting members and convincing employers that the association's
purpose was truly educational not a cover for union activities.
The result of this organization was the formation of the National
Association of Insurance Women (NAIW).
Insurance
Women of Akron (IWOA) is proud to be among the nearly 350 locally
affiliated associations.
Members
of Insurance Women of Akron enjoy many benefits from belonging
to a local group which meets regularly and provides networking
opportunities. IWOA offers representation to insurance professionals
in Wayne, Medina, Portage and Summit Counties. |
